Trains, Trams and Foot Massages

This week we decided to be tourists in our own city.  Max has been keen to go on one of the old trams that run from East to West on the Island, so that was definitely on the list. He is always keen o try different modes of transport wherever we go.

We caught the MTR over to the island, and we are always impressed at how well the train system works in HK.  One of the many pluses of living here!  From Quarry Bay we jumped on the next tram and 'rattled' our way down to Central.  The trams are great way to commute on the Island and with the Octopus cards working on all modes of Public Transport, it makes using the MTR, ferries, buses and trams a real must in Hong Kong.

As it's a quieter week in the office, we thought we would visit Mike and show Max the view from the upper floors of the IFC building where Mike works.  He was the only family member who hadn't been there yet.  Unfortunately, due to the weather, we couldn't really see very much as we were above the clouds !!  Although, it was still impressive for an 8 year old.

Off to lunch and then it was time for foot massages - a must do when visiting HK.  The boys had been super keen to try this out and see what all the fuss was about.  Jack was a BIG fan and is now asking me to do this as a regular Mum/son thing.  Max got a bit bored towards the end and only wants to go again if we do a shorter time.

After our relaxing hour, we then returned home to get a few more things ready for Christmas !!
