Yesterday, Max came home from school very excited about one of his tasks from literacy. He had to write a persuasive letter to his parents. Well, I wasn't surprised by his topic and, lets just say, he wasn't very persuasive !!
His spelling isn't great so I will translate for you:
Dear parents
I love the Maldives and I really want to go and see the beautiful ocean. And it is also a nice place for a holiday. And you can hear the ocean going shshhshhshshs and relax.

He has been obsessed with going to the Maldives since Mike and I went last year. We are regularly telling him that it took as 40 years to get there...... so he may have to wait that long too! It makes me think that living overseas has created expectations that we cannot live up to. Maybe a trip to the local beach this weekend will be enough to keep him happy :)
