Weekend Adventures

We have been in Hong Kong over a week now and, oh how time has flown !!  We are loving the first world comforts of living in this fabulous city and all the fun it has to offer.  We have been out and above every day and trying to explore as many public parks as possible. The boys have managed to play some football and basketball every day in different locations - Sunday, it was inside Happy Valley Racecourse !!

On the weekend, Jack and I went on a hike up Braemar Hill which was lovely - only 2 kilometres away and we felt like we were in a completely different country.  The people we came across hiking or running were all very friendly, and no one had headphones on and were all very happy to say 'hello' and smile. Jack made friends with some puppies out for a run and we even found a couple who were very hot and bothered from the run.

The decent was very steep and my foot was definitely telling me it is time to find a specialist.  Hopeful there is a little Chinese magician who can fix it and I will be back to running in no time.  The hills out in Clearwater Bay (where we will be living) are plentiful and VERY steep !!

The Easter bunny managed to find us in Hong Kong - unlike last year in Rajasthan......  The boys were very happy and we enjoyed a very long weekend together, as there was an extra day in HK for the Ching Ming Festival.  I was going to blog on that and describe the lovely ceremony that is the celebration of life and people visit and clean the graves of deceased family members.  The term Ching Ming literally means 'Clean and Bright' and I was hoping to go and see lots of this but it just didn't happen.  Next year I will write a full blog about it.

Here are a few snaps from our run - who would have though this was in the heart of the city in Hong Kong ?
