Our new home in Ng Fai Tin

We have secured our new home in Hong Kong (rental only...... which I hate doing but really no choice here).  We have discussed long and hard as to whether we could 'survive' in an apartment on the island with no outside space, or if we should move further afield and live in a house.  We (read 'Susie', as I am not sure Mike is on board yet......) decided to move over to the New Territories and we could then get a house with some outside space.  Hopefully this will mean that I won't be screaming at the boys every hour of every day and they may last to be teenagers !

We are about 45 minutes commute to Central and are located midway between Mike's school and work.  It is a 3 story house with a roof top terrace as well.  I was over at the house today and managed to take a few photos to share.  The cleaners and workman were there getting the house ready for us to move in, so excuse the dirty areas.  I was there to have curtains measured so that we can have them installed before we move in.

We are a long way from most things, so a car was a necessity and we have also secured a car for when we move in to the house.  So hopefully in 2 weeks we will be moved in and getting 'fully settled' into Hong Kong life.

The house has a nice, bright and airy feel, which we all love and there is enough room for us to not be living on top of each other.  We have even managed to secure an office that will allow me to not be working off the kitchen table !!

Now for the sea shipment to arrive and for us to unpack - bring on May and some 'normality.
