Singapore Part II

Some more highlights of our trip to Singapore.  The Gardens by the Bay were brilliant and definitely a must do when in Singapore.  It is always busy and very crowded down there but the layout really allows people to move freely and see each area with ease.  It is always nice to see some Australian flora and remind us of what we are missing.  The rainforest area was one of our favourite spots to spend time in.

We had made a conscious decision not to do Universal Studios this trip, as we will do this on our next visit as a family.  However, the boys still expected to visit a theme park of some sorts, so our Monday was spent at Downtown East at the water park, called Wild Wild Wet.  We had so much fun and I highly recommend it as a safe, small and entertaining day.  Theres a great mall next door for food and there are plenty of rides and swimming areas for everyone.  The one ride that we were thrilled to do was the 'Torpedo' where the floor drops away and you then shoot down a regular slide.

I have to say that Chinese New Year in Singapore was very quiet - many of the restaurants were closed and it was generally quiet. So, we will avoid that time of year next time.

More photo memories of our trip.

This wonderful artwork gets me every time.  The story behind it is that the family were on their way to the airport after a visit to Singapore but loved Singapore so much that they left some of themselves behind forever.

This great ride was called the 'Torpedo'  was a scary drop but Max and I managed to do it.  Great fun !
