Shanghai Day 3

On our way home on the Sunday night we stumbled across all these girls dressed in old-fashioned girlie dresses with frills, bonnets and bows.  There were so many off them, everywhere we turned that we realised that they must have been to an event (who knows in China ??!!)  So we went to find out what it was all about and we found that we had stumbled across the 'Angelic Pretty Fairy Dance Party'.  Yes, this is a thing and, yes, I want to attend next year.  Maybe my 'other' Prince Charming is waiting for me...... it was hilarious.  and the boys reactions were even funnier.

Monday morning took us to Fuxing Park which is a great park where locals meet to do various things. As examples, we saw dancing, tai chi, chess, singing - a lovely way to spend the morning.  A peaceful spot in such a busy city. There was one crazy experience - a children's ride which you're supposed to try and shoot fake animals. Crazy China.

We then wandered more trough the French Concession district which we loved - tree lined streets and lots of thins to watch and see. We actually headed aback to our favourite dumpling shop for another 'fix'.

Heading to the airport and we decided to take the Maglev high speed train. It's op speed is about 431km at peak hour but this time was only 300km. Fabulous way to get to airport in 7 minutes!! 

Loved Shanghai - we'll definitely be back.

This was CRAZY - this was a small ride that you paid to go on that went around a track and the aim of the
ride was to 'shoot' at animals... you can see the targets.  So many wrong things.....
