I have written previously about the lovely hike that we have close to our home which runs down to Clearwater Bay Beach. I do it regularly and love to share it with visitors when they come. The boys have done the main hike with me a number of times and also enjoy it. It is a reasonably easy hike with a really good path which is good for my dodgy foot.
However, there is a peak climb that I have only done once before and the boys have ask constantly, since we moved here, to do it too. It is very very steep and is more like rock climbing then hiking, so it has always scared me to take them. It is also very scary at the top if it is windy.
Anyway, the New Year came and I finally agreed to let them do it with me. We had a great morning completing the hike and were so very proud of each other making it to the top of the peak, as it is a tough climb. It was a bit windy but the views were spectacular.
I'm not sure if the boys will want to do it again but they are keen for me to find another challenge. woohoo.
